The biggest mobile device introduction was Samsung\’s “FOLD” phone. This was a device that could easily be converted from a cell phone to a tablet. It is a new technology introduction, and its utility in daily life remains to be seen. Priced at 41,000 Czech crowns, it is well ahead of the flagships; only a few hundred units would be distributed if not for series sales, as the S series is known for, it was introduced. It will be sold in two versions: classic and “pro.” The classic version will feature the A13 bionic processor, which Apple says is the most powerful processor on the market. The classic version will feature a 6.1-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1792 x 828 px, while the more expensive “pro” version will have a 5.8-inch OLED with a resolution of 2436 x 1125. And, as is known with the Iphone, a “MAX” will be added. This will feature a 6.5″ Super Retina XDR display with a resolution of 2688 x 1242. These additions will of course add to the price; the Classic version of the Iphone 11 will cost about 21,000,- CZK, the Iphone 11 Pro will be a little more expensive, about 30,000,- CZK, and the Iphone 11 Pro Max will cost 33,000,- CZK CZK.
The basic iPhone 11 has two rear cameras, a 12 MPx (f/1.8) + 12 MPx (f/2.4) and a front 12 MPx. Both versions (Pro and Pro Max) have a triple rear camera with 12+12+12 MPx resolution and a front camera, also 12 MPx.
All versions support NFC and GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and an 18 W charger. Face ID is used for security. Water and dust resistance is IP68. user interface is provided by the iOS 13 operating system
Another new feature introduced by Xiaomi and their phones is only two edges, everything else is touch screen. Like Samsung, they also admitted that only a few models will be sold and only as an introduction of new technology. We were intrigued by their curves, and even more intrigued by the fact that the phone does not and will not feature a selfie front camera. Why? According to the manufacturer, one can simply flip this phone over and take a picture with the rear camera; the rear camera is located in a cutout in the display. The downside is that it takes time and effort to manufacture, which of course comes at a price. As Xiaomi excels at, don\’t be surprised by the lack of a jack. But it is a great demonstration that technology is still moving forward.
